Russellville Junior/Senior High School Information:

Word from the Principal
It is hard to believe we have less than four months of school remaining, but RHS has never been busier.  The recent snows have slowed school some, but there are still many activities taking place here at RHS.  Below you will find a listing of many accomplishments, activities and upcoming events taking place at RHS:

-RHS will be hosting the District 8 Governor’s Cup Competition on Tuesday, Feb. 2.  Good luck to the RHS Academic Team.

-On Feb. 19, 12pm-1pm, RHS students who meet their reward expectations will be entertained with a concert by Danny Salazar and Damian Horne.  Thank you to the Russellville Blues Society and the deGraffenreid fund for making this a possibility.

-On Jan. 15, RHS juniors along with other RHS students participated in the Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Walk and commemoration ceremony.  RHS would like to extend a special thank you to Marvinia Neblett, Ken Brown (RHS US History Teacher) and several city/county officials for making this a success.

-During the month of January, RHS students in grades 7-11 were given the MAP test in reading and Math.  This was a follow-up to the previous MAP test given in September.  Any student that scored at or above grade level or improved by 5 points will be receiving a reward day in the near future.  Congratulations to all of you students for your academic improvements and gains!!!

-The RHS Cheer Team will be competing in Regionals at Barren Co. High School.  Due to a snow cancellation, a new date has yet to be announced.  Good luck to our Cheerleaders!!!

-RHS would like to welcome Mr. Joey Stinson to the faculty and staff.  Mr. Stinson replaces Mr. Billy Soto as the RHS Biology teacher.  Welcome Mr. Stinson!!!
